In Aavya’s room, the curtains were drawn halfway, letting in soft noon light.

It was already 12 p.m., yet she hadn’t woken up.

Alka sat beside the bed, gently smoothing Aavya’s hair, her palm resting protectively on her forehead.

Anjali stood near the window, her voice calm but reassuring.

“Mira ne jo kaha tha yaad hai, bhabhi,” she said softly.

“Jab body comfortable feel karegi, tabhi aankh khulegi.”

Alka nodded, though worry still lingered in her eyes.

Just then, the door creaked open.

Karan slipped inside—tip-toeing far too dramatically—with Veer tucked under his arm, the puppy peeking out like a co-conspirator.

Alka and Anjali turned at the same time.

“Karan,” Alka asked suspiciously, “tum yahan kya kar rahe ho?”

Karan straightened instantly.

“Ab main fresh ho gaya hoon,” he said seriously.

“Toh main yahin baithunga. Aap dono jao, thoda rest kar lo.”

Anjali raised an eyebrow.

“And Veer?”

“He insisted,” Karan replied solemnly.

After a brief exchange of looks, Alka and Anjali finally stepped out—reluctantly but trusting.

Barely two minutes passed.

The door opened again.

This time, Shaurav and Aayan walked in together.

They froze mid-step, eyes moving from Karan… to Veer… to the bed.

Both raised an eyebrow in perfect sync.

Aayan spoke first.

“Tum yahan kya kar rahe ho?”

Karan didn’t even look up.

“Jo tum dono karne aaye ho,” he replied calmly.

A beat.

Shaurav nodded.

“Fair.”

They quietly took positions—one near the couch, one near the window.

Another two minutes.

The door opened again.

Lakshya entered, stopped, surveyed the scene.

Same question.

Same raised eyebrow.

“Tum?”

Karan pointed vaguely around the room.

“Same reason.”

Lakshya exhaled through his nose and took a seat without another word.

Then—

Footsteps. Heavier. Calmer.

Rudra and Abhimanyu entered together.

They didn’t ask anything.

They didn’t need to.

Their eyes swept the room—Aavya asleep, Veer curled close, every brother already present.

For a brief second, all six brothers looked at each other.

A silent understanding passed between them.

They all came for the same reason.

To check if she had woken up.

To make sure she wasn’t alone.

No one spoke.

No one moved.

The room filled with quiet, unshakable presence—

A circle of protection, patience, and brotherhood.

Aavya’s lashes fluttered.

Slowly…carefully… she opened her eyes.

For a second, everything felt unfamiliar.

Then—

A warm weight pressed against her side.

She looked down.

“Veer…?” she whispered, her voice dry but surprised.

The puppy lifted his head instantly, tail thumping once against the bed.

Before she could process anything else—

A face leaned into her line of sight.

Far too close.

“Karan?” she croaked.

He grinned.

“Good morning, sleeping beauty. Afternoon edition.”

Her eyes shifted.

One by one, she noticed them.

Aayan near the window.

Shaurav leaning against the wall.

Lakshya seated calmly.

Rudra standing tall, arms crossed.

Abhimanyu closer than everyone else, watching her quietly.

Her brows knitted together.

“Aap log…” she paused, confused.

“…yahin the?”

No one answered.

Abhimanyu finally spoke, his voice steady and simple.

“Haan.”

Something loosened in her chest.

She smiled—small, fragile, but real.

And then—

Karan ruined the moment.

“Veer, operation start,” he whispered loudly.

Before anyone could stop him, he lifted the puppy and gently plopped him right onto Aavya’s stomach.

Veer immediately began licking her chin with full enthusiasm.

“Karan!” she squealed, trying to push him away.

“Stop—veer—no—!”

Karan beamed.

“Doctor’s orders. Emotional therapy.”

Aayan cleared his throat sharply.

“This is not part of any medical protocol.”

Shaurav snorted.

“Yet.”

Lakshya shook his head, lips twitching.

Rudra turned away—but not before a smile betrayed him.

Abhimanyu watched the chaos for a second… then let out a quiet chuckle.

A sound so rare it made everyone look at him.

Aavya laughed—properly this time—holding her stomach.

“Tum dono pagal ho,” she said between breaths.

Karan gasped dramatically.

“Excuse me? We saved the nation’s morale.”

Veer barked as if agreeing.

The room filled with laughter—light, genuine, alive.

And for the first time in days—

The weight lifted.

Just a little.

Just enough.

The room stayed warm with laughter.

Karan, unfortunately, became the center of entertainment.

Shaurav tilted his head, eyes narrowing thoughtfully.

“You know… I was thinking.”

Karan immediately straightened.

“That sentence itself is dangerous.”

Aayan spoke without looking up.

“Why do you shout when you whisper?”

Lakshya added calmly,

“And why do you whisper when there is no secret?”

Rudra folded his arms.

“And why do you act brave only when everyone is present?”

Karan gasped.

“Wow. Group attack. Very mature.”

Aavya laughed softly, hugging Veer closer.

Abhimanyu’s eyes flicked to Karan.

“You said you were ‘fresh’.”

“Yes?” Karan replied cautiously.

Abhimanyu raised an eyebrow.

“Then why do you look like you slept inside a strategy room chair?”

The room exploded.

Aayan actually laughed out loud.

Shaurav clutched his stomach.

Lakshya shook his head, disappointed but amused.

Rudra smirked.

“Because strategy rooms reject him. Even chairs have standards.”

Karan pointed at him.

“Tu ruk—”

Aavya cut in, teasing,

“Bhai, you were very loud. Even in sleep.”

Karan froze.

“…I talk in my sleep?”

Lakshya nodded.

“Yes.”

Aayan added,

“You were explaining national security to Veer.”

Veer barked proudly.

Karan looked betrayed.

“Et tu, Veer?”

Abhimanyu finally spoke, voice calm but lethal.

“You also ordered coffee at 3 a.m. Very passionately.”

That was it.

Karan dropped onto the sofa dramatically.

“I live with enemies. Blood-related enemies.”

Aavya laughed harder, the sound fuller now, healthier.

𝘚𝘩𝘦’𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳.

Just then—

A soft knock.

The room went quiet.

A maid stood at the door, hands folded respectfully.

“Sir… if Miss Aavya has woken up, then please bring her to the dining area. Everyone is waiting.”

All eyes turned to Aavya.

She nodded, smiling gently.

“I’m awake.”

Abhimanyu stepped forward immediately.

“Good. No arguments.”

Rudra was already beside her.

“I’ll walk with you.”

Karan stood up, suddenly serious.

“Team escort?”

Shaurav smirked.

“Obviously.”

Veer barked once—as if approving the plan.

And together, with noise, warmth, and quiet protection wrapped around her—

They prepared to leave the room.

The elevator door slid open with a soft ding…

and suddenly the air in the hallway shifted.

Six dangerous figures stepped out first—tall, sharp-eyed, carrying an aura that made even the guards straighten unconsciously.

Their presence alone was enough to silence whispers.

And then—

between them—came a much smaller figure.

She looked a little pale, fragile even, almost out of place among them…

but her laughter rang out clearly, fearlessly.

Karan was tugging at her sleeve, deliberately exaggerating a limp while Veer—completely loyal and absolutely dramatic—circled her feet, barking once as if adding his own punchline.

Veer’s tail wagged wildly, proud of his contribution to the chaos.

Her laughter echoed down the hallway.

For a moment, everyone froze.

The elders sitting there exchanged looks of pure relief.

That smile—that sound—it meant she was okay.

It meant the darkness hadn’t touched her the way they feared.

She spotted Rajveer.

Without hesitation, she walked over and sat beside him, naturally, like that place had always been hers. Rajveer glanced at her once, just once—his clenched jaw easing the slightest bit.

Karan smirked.

Veer plopped down at her feet, victorious.

And the six dangerous figures?

They stood silently behind her.

Protective.

Unmoving.

As if the entire world could fall apart—

—but as long as her laughter existed, nothing was allowed to reach her.

As Aavya hugged Rajveer’s arm, the hallway felt lighter—like someone had finally opened a window after a long storm.

Rajveer kissed the top of her head gently, his hand never leaving her shoulder.

“Sach mein theek ho?” one voice after another asked.

Aavya smiled, small but real.

“Hmm… bilkul.”

Divya dadi clapped her hands softly.

“Achha, toh gudiya, apne bhaiyon ke saath jaa ke khaa lo. In logon ne subah se kuch nahi khaya hai.”

The moment her words landed, Aavya slowly turned her head.

Her eyes scanned the six tall figures.

One brother suddenly found the floor very interesting.

Another adjusted his watch like his life depended on it.

One cleared his throat.

Karan?

Karan immediately bent down and started talking to Veer.

“Veer beta, tu toh bhookha hoga na?”

Veer wagged his tail happily.

Aavya narrowed her eyes.

“Achaa? ”

Aavya pointed at all of them with her free hand.

“Dadi sa, yeh sab acting kar rahe hain. Inhone hi mujhe sone nahi diya tha.”

“HEY—” Karan straightened up. “Jhooth! Main toh bas—”

“—bas Veer ke saath stand-up comedy kar raha tha?” Lakshya cut in calmly.

Aayan smirked.

“Result: patient laughing, doctors confused.”

Shorav added, deadpan,

“Medical miracle.”

Rudra shook his head. “Hum check karne aaye the ki woh uthi ya nahi… aur yeh circus shuru ho gaya.”

Abhimanyu crossed his arms.

“Aur sabse bada joker kaun tha, woh toh sabko pata hai.”

All eyes slowly turned to Karan.

Karan blinked.

“…Itna bhi sach nahi bolna hota.”

Veer barked.

Everyone burst out laughing—including Aavya. The sound echoed down the hallway, soft but bright, and the elders exchanged relieved glances.

Rajveer exhaled quietly, his grip on her arm loosening just a little.

“That’s my strong girl,” he murmured.

Divya smiled warmly.

“Chalo, ab sab dining area mein. Drama baad mein, khana pehle.”

As they started walking, Aavya leaned slightly into her father and said, just loud enough for her brothers to hear,

“Par yaad rakhna… aaj ka hisaab baaki hai.”

Karan gulped.

Veer barked again—this time like a warning.

Six tall brothers, plates half-filled, voices overlapping—teasing, arguing, stealing food from each other. Pure chaos.

Aavya rolled her eyes, finally pulling a chair and sitting down.

“It is the crime to sit with you all,” she muttered.

Just then, Abhimanyu’s phone rang.

He glanced at the screen—his expression changed instantly.

Without a word, he stood up.

“coming,” he said curtly and walked away.

The laughter at the table slowly faded…

Aavya watched him leave, a strange uneasiness settling in her chest.

---

---

Abhimanyu didn’t stop walking until the corridor swallowed him whole.

The moment he turned the corner, his jaw tightened. He answered the call without greeting.

“Talk.”

Tiger’s voice came low and controlled.

“Arjun Khurana tried to flee. Rahul and I intercepted him at the private airstrip. He’s secured.”

Abhimanyu closed his eyes for half a second. “And Vikram?”

“Official arrest. Media already has it.”

A pause.

Then Tiger added, slower this time,

“But Abhi… Shade moved.”

Abhimanyu’s fingers curled around the phone. “How?”

“He wiped three digital trails we were tracking. Clean. Professional. And—” Tiger hesitated, “—someone tried to access Aavya’s medical records an hour ago. Hospital firewall stopped it.”

That did it.

Abhimanyu turned sharply, his back hitting the wall.

“Any name?” he asked.

“No,” Tiger replied. “But the pattern is the same. This wasn’t Khurana. This was… observation.”

Abhimanyu exhaled, slow and dangerous.

“So he’s watching us. Again.”

“Yes.”

A beat.

“Double the perimeter,” Abhimanyu ordered. “No shadows. No gaps. And Tiger—”

“Yes?”

“No one tells the family. Especially her.”

“Understand sir ”

"And tiger "

"Yes sir? "

" Come to penthouse... ”

---

Abhimanyu entered in the dinning table again

Jaw clenched

Always unreadable face

He sits beside rudra as usaual

And whispered

“After it, I am going penthouse”

Rudra nodded and message something to rahul.

Abhimanyu noticed and said

“ Don't come, Rudra Rathore”

Rudra smirks

“Not promise”

Abhimanyu rolled his eyes because he knows his brother.

His 'not promise'

Means —

Definitely He will come.

Aavya looked at them suspiciously

“What are you two whispering? ”

Every brother in the table looked at them.

“Nothing”

One word

Two voice

And both are carbon copy of each other...

She signed and muttered under the breath

“I can't understand them ”

---

The penthouse was silent when Abhimanyu entered.

Floor-to-ceiling glass.

City stretched below.

Security already active.

Tiger stood near the center table, tablet in hand.

“Secured,” Tiger said the moment Abhimanyu walked in.

Abhimanyu removed his watch slowly, placing it on the table.

“Location?”

“Basement holding.”

A muscle in Abhimanyu’s jaw shifted.

Five minutes later—

The elevator doors opened again.

Rudra stepped out first.

Behind him — Rahul.

Abhimanyu didn’t turn immediately.

He simply lifted one eyebrow.

Rudra gave him a flat look.

“I want to see my prey.”

Rahul looked between the two brothers carefully. He had seen dangerous men before.

But Rathore brothers?

Different breed.

Abhimanyu finally turned fully toward Rudra.

“For control,” he said calmly.

Rudra’s lips twitched slightly.

“I have it.”

Abhimanyu studied him for a second longer.

Then shook his head faintly.

Because yes—

He was his brother.

And unfortunately?

A little unhinged.

Tiger cleared his throat carefully.

“Arjun Khurana is conscious.”

Rudra’s eyes darkened instantly.

Rahul shifted his weight.

Abhimanyu’s expression went completely blank — the kind of blank that meant something calculated was about to happen.

“No unnecessary damage,” Abhimanyu said quietly.

Rudra looked offended.

“I’m not an animal.”

Tiger coughed lightly.

“Debatable.”

Rudra glared.

Abhimanyu walked toward the private elevator leading to the lower level.

Rudra followed.

Rahul followed.

Tiger followed last.

The elevator doors closed.

Descending.

Into silence.

Into consequence.

Because in the Rathore world—

If Abhimanyu was the mind,

Rudra was the storm.

And today—

Someone was about to face both.

The metal door opened.

Arjun Khurana sat tied to a chair, face bruised, fear dripping from his eyes the moment he saw them enter.

Abhimanyu walked in first.

No hurry.

No anger.

Just silence.

Rudra stood slightly behind him.

Tiger and Rahul stayed near the wall.

Abhimanyu pulled a chair and sat in front of Arjun.

He didn’t speak.

He just looked at him.

One minute.

Two minutes.

Five.

The silence became unbearable.

Arjun shifted in his seat.

“Say something!”

Abhimanyu tilted his head slightly.

“Why?” he asked calmly. “You seem uncomfortable already.”

Arjun swallowed.

Rudra leaned against the wall, cracking his knuckles slowly.

“You touched the wrong family,” Rudra said softly.

Arjun snapped, trying to regain courage.

“I was told to scare her! Just scare! That’s it!”

The room froze.

Abhimanyu’s eyes darkened slightly.

“Scare?” he repeated.

“Yes!” Arjun blurted. “Kidnap attempt, fear pressure — that was the instruction. Nothing more.”

Rudra stepped forward suddenly and grabbed Arjun by the collar.

“Tumne uska naam liya,” Rudra growled, rage flashing.

( You take her name)

Rahul moved instantly.

“Sir !”

Tiger grabbed his arm before he could land the punch.

“Control,” Abhimanyu said quietly.

Rudra’s breathing was heavy.

For one dangerous second it looked like he would ignore the order.

Then slowly—

He stepped back.

Because if Abhimanyu said control… it meant something bigger was coming.

Abhimanyu leaned closer to Arjun.

“Who ordered you?”

Arjun hesitated.

Rudra moved one inch forward again.

“SHADE,” Arjun whispered.

The name echoed.

Tiger’s eyes sharpened.

Abhimanyu didn’t react outwardly.

But his fingers tightened slightly.

“They told me,” Arjun continued in panic, “the girl was important. Not to hurt her. Just pressure. Phase one.”

Phase one.

The air shifted.

“What is level two?” Abhimanyu asked.

Arjun shook his head violently.

“I don’t know! I swear! They only said—”

“Say it,” Rudra warned.

“They said next attempt won’t be private.”

Silence.

Abhimanyu’s voice turned ice cold.

“Explain.”

Arjun’s voice trembled.

“They said… if fear doesn’t work at home… it will work in public.”

Rahul’s expression changed.

Tiger already understood.

Abhimanyu’s mind calculated instantly.

Public.

Crowd.

Visibility.

School.

Events.

Gatherings.

Rudra looked at Abhimanyu.

This wasn’t kidnapping anymore.

This was a message.

Abhimanyu stood slowly.

“Toh tum sirf ek pawn the,” he said calmly.

Arjun nodded desperately.

Abhimanyu walked toward the door.

“Keep him alive,” he told Tiger. “He’s still useful.”

Rudra followed him out.

In the elevator, silence.

Then Rudra spoke.

“If they try in public…”

Abhimanyu’s eyes were dark steel.

“They won’t get the chance.”

Because now it wasn’t protection.

It was war.
